Hooks and Crookes (IRE)

Hooks and Crookes are a male sea-shanty group from Waterford, southeast Ireland. They have been making music since 2001. The name comes from a Cromwellian saying of 'getting there by hook or by crooke'. Hook and Crooke are the names of the two stretches of land that surround Waterford harbour.
